Westside Thunder Baseball

Our next game is Tuesday May 15 against Green. The game is going to be at the Copley Community Park (see calendar tab for directions). The game will start at 6pm. As usual, please plan to be there 45 minutes early to warm-up.

The 13u bracket for the upcoming Wooster tournament is now available (see the calendar tab for details). As you will see, we will be playing two games on Saturday May 12 and one game for sure on Sunday May 13. Whether or not we play more games on Sunday will be determined on how we do in the first three. There is a website for this tournament (Wooster Golden Gloves) where information will be available starting later tonight.

The start times of our double header games against Sandy Valley on Saturday May 5th have changed: The first game now starts at 10am and the second at approximately 12:30pm. Please plan to arrive at the field between 9am and 9:15am.

Good job by all the boys tonight in the win vs. Manchester. Up next is a scheduled practice May 3 at 6pm at our Mull Ave field, and then we have a double header this Saturday May 5 vs.  Sandy Valley (at their Magnolia Park field — see calendar tab for directions). The first game starts at 2pm so please make sure to have all the players at the field by 1:15pm.

We weren’t able to pull off the make-up tomorrow so there will be no game tomorrow, Sunday April 29. Our next game will be as scheduled, Monday April 30 at home (Copley Community Park) against Manchester. The game will start at 6pm. Please have the players there by 5:15pm to warm up.

Note: The Springfield game has been rescheduled for Saturday June 2 at 6:30pm. This will replace the practice we had scheduled on that day. See the calendar tab for directions.

Our doubleheader today against Springfield has been rained out. We are going to make up one of the games tomorrow, start time will be 4pm at Springfield. As usual, please plan to arrive at the field 45 minutes early to warm-up.

Our Thursday April 26 practice was cancelled due to the weather. Up next is a double header on Saturday April 28 assuming the weather cooperates.

Nice effort by all the boys last night against Holly Hills. We couldn’t quite close it out but it was very competitive throughout. Regarding our practice tomorrow, at this point we are saying it is a go and hopefully the weather will cooperate. Watch for text blasts tomorrow for any updates.
